Ha Ling- NE Face

    A beautiful peak located next to the town of Canmore. The NE face is a striking line with 12-pitches of climbing that has been very popular for decades. Ha Ling peak is also very popular with hikers who hike up the backside and then look down upon Canmore and the Bow Valley.

  • Directions

    Bow Valley (Bow Valley Wildland Prov. Park). From Canmore, drive <10min up the Spray Lake Rd and park next to the reservoir roughly 400m south of Whiteman’s Pass.
  • Approach

    Hike for roughly 1 hour to the base of the route, up a sometimes-faint scree trail that eventually contours below the N. facing cliffs of Ha Ling.  

  • Descent

    Hike down the back side to the car (roughly 1.5hr).
